1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
Welcome to She Shines Sisterhood (“She Shines,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our websites (sheshinessisterhood.org and sheshinesconference.com), purchasing memberships, registering for events, or participating in our programs, you (“you” or “Member”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws and regulations.
If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use our services or websites.
2. ABOUT SHE SHINES SISTERHOOD
She Shines Sisterhood (formerly Celebrating Sisterhood) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women—particularly women of color—to live with wholeness and wellness in body, soul, and spirit. We provide programs that nurture health and wellness, advance civic and community leadership, and deepen spiritual growth among women at every stage of life.
3. MEMBERSHIP TERMS
3.1 Membership Types and Fees
She Shines offers the following membership levels:
- Supporter Membership: $50 annually
- Standard Annual Membership: $99 annually
- Deluxe Annual Membership: $149 annually
- Corporate & Church Partner Membership: $250 annually (covers up to 3 women)
- Sister Circle Founding Member: $500 (3-year membership)
3.2 Membership Benefits
Each membership level includes specific benefits as described on our website and membership materials. Benefits are subject to change with reasonable notice to members.
3.3 Membership Duration
- Annual memberships are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase
- Founding memberships are valid for 36 months from the date of purchase
- Memberships automatically expire at the end of their term unless renewed
3.4 Renewal
Memberships do not automatically renew. Members will receive renewal notices prior to expiration. To continue receiving membership benefits, you must actively renew your membership before or shortly after expiration.
3.5 Non-Transferability
Memberships are non-transferable and may not be sold, traded, or given to another person. Corporate & Church Partner Memberships may designate up to three individuals from their organization to receive benefits.
4. PAYMENT AND REFUNDS
4.1 Payment
All membership fees and event registrations must be paid in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise arranged. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and other payment methods as indicated on our website.
4.2 Refund Policy
Memberships:
- Membership fees are generally non-refundable
- Exceptions may be made at our discretion for extenuating circumstances within 30 days of purchase
- Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [contact email]
Conference and Event Registrations:
- Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event: 75% refund
- Cancellations made 15-30 days before the event: 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 15 days before the event: No refund
- All refunds are subject to a $25 processing fee
- No-shows are not eligible for refunds
4.3 Price Changes
We reserve the right to modify membership fees and event pricing at any time. Changes will not affect active memberships or completed purchases but will apply to future purchases and renewals.
5. USER ACCOUNTS
5.1 Account Creation
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
5.2 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms of Use or engage in behavior inconsistent with our mission and values.
6. USER CONDUCT
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing content
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with the security or functionality of our websites
- Collect information about other users without consent
- Use our services for commercial purposes without authorization
- Engage in behavior contrary to our mission of empowerment and sisterhood

13.3 Code of Conduct
All participants must treat others with respect, dignity, and kindness. Harassment, discrimination, or behavior inconsistent with our values may result in removal from events without refund.
14. DONATIONS AND CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
14.1 Tax-Deductibility
She Shines Sisterhood is a non-profit organization. Donations may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Consult your tax advisor for specific guidance.
14.2 Use of Funds
Donations and membership fees support our mission of empowering women through health and wellness, civic and community leadership, and spiritual growth programs. We reserve the right to allocate funds where they are most needed.
14.3 No Refunds on Donations
Donations are final and non-refundable except as required by law or in cases of processing error.
15. DISPUTE RESOLUTION
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15.2 Arbitration
Any disputes arising from these Terms of Use or your use of our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.
15.3 Class Action Waiver
You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions or representative proceedings.
16. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting to our website with an updated “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
Material changes will be communicated to members via email or website notice.
17. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms of Use is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
18. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and She Shines Sisterhood regarding use of our websites and services.
